Course overview
Self Regulation and Sensory Based Strategies will introduce the eight sensory systems, focussing on addressing behaviours through the senses focusing on motor based tasks and/or staying in control of emotions and will offer insight on how to use a ‘sensory lens’ to support motor development and emotional regulation.
The course will cover the following:
- Discuss the eight sensory systems
- Hands on activities
- Discuss signs of difficulties in each sensory system
- Explore the use of sensory based strategies
- Introduce the Thrive Sensory Toolbox
